APIS THE “FRIEND OF FOUNDATION” OF CARDIAC SURGERY DEVELOPMENT OF PROF. ZBIGNIEW RELIGA
During the XXVI “Serce za Serce” Gala the APIS Beekeeping Cooperative was awarded the statuette of “Friend of Foundation” by the Board of Prof. Zbigniew Religa Foundation of Cardiac Surgery Development.
The “Serce za Serce” concerts are organized since 1992 in the Zabrze House of Music and Dance, to honour the biggest allies of the Foundation for their generosity, aid and social responsibility. They are also a form of promotion for Foundation and commemoration of prof. Zbigniew Religa – initiator, founder and for many years the head of the Board of the Foundation of Cardiac Surgery Development, and now its patron. The mission of the Foundation is to efficiently treat heart disease with use of modern, independently developed methods. Its activities include actions in field of biomedical engineering, artificial heart construction, medical robotics, and tissue engineering. They are conducted in the foundation’s own Institute of Heart Prostheses made of Artificial Heart Laboratory, Biocybernetics Laboratory and Bioengineering Laboratory.
APIS Beekeeping Cooperative emphasises the quality of honey produced. Our inspection and test laboratory monitors the high quality at every production stage, using multiple tests and checks. The company has an integrated quality management and food safety system, according to BRC rev. 7 standard. Natural honey has many health-promoting and immune system aiding properties. It furthermore includes substances of plant origin that are necessary for efficient functioning of the body. The common goal of APIS and the Foundation is care for human health. Thanks to high quality of bee honey the APIS company acquired the right to use the logo of the Foundation of Cardiac Surgery Development on its products.
