24 Apr VENTURESOME KIDS AT THE APIS BEEKEEPING COOPERATIVE
“Przedsiębiorcze dzieciaki” [Venturesome Kids] is a piloting program by Lublin City Council and Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology of UMCS, in cooperation with Lublin companies.
Some 200 students of Lublin primary schools, aged 6-10, participate in the project. It aims at teaching children the basics of entrepreneurship, that they will find useful in future on the job market, and in developing their professional careers, and also inspiring for creative thinking and developing their interests and passions.
On April 16th and 17th 2018 the Venturesome kids of the Preschool no. 14, guided by the business Goat, visited the APIS Beekeeping Cooperative. There they had classes, learning about the company, the benefits we have from bee’s work, the possible uses of honey, where does the honey come from, and how the bees make it. During the meeting they had the chance to taste the honeys, experiment with it and watch a movie about bees. The last stage was a visit to Company Store, where they learned about beekeeping tools and products made of honey. During their visit to the APIS Beekeeping Cooperative the venturesome kids and the Goat were joined by Apisa Bee.
